First of all, no further update on the river level issue, but as we're expecting serious rain tomorrow, the problem may disappear for a while anyway.
Meanwhile, on another river, somewhere not far below the Teise, a mysterious intruder has
been spotted.

This is the Chinese Mitten Crab - and it was caught in the Medway.
They haven't been seen in the Teise yet, but if you do spot one, please report it, photograph it if possible, and kill it. Eating is for you to decide.
It is an invasive species, and we don't want them in the Teise, and in fact if you find any crab in our river, please report it.
You're probably unlikely to catch one if you stick to dry flies, but please keep your eyes peeled.
Thanks
